For the past five years, people in and around Cleveland County have waited for news about a possible casino in Kings Mountain. There appears to be movement on the horizon coming right from the. Also in late August, the tribe unveiled a casino logo that features a silhouette of King Hagler against an image of Kings Mountain. The Catawba Nation unveiled this logo for its planned Two Kings.

Phase 1 of development on a new Vegas style casino owned by the Catawba Indian Nation is expected to open in 2021 and will cost up to 100 million dollars, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

The first phase is expected to include 1,300 slot machines along with restaurants and outlets. The total project will cost up to 300 million dollars and will be located In Kings Mountain North Carolina.
