Part 5 of my 6 part (maybe more) playthrough of the Dragon Quest series on mobile. If you missed my previous threads, you can find them here (unfortunately because I deleted my screens from DQ1 and DQ2 the images don't work anymore so I'm sorry about that); Dragon Quest 1 Dragon Quest 2. Rated 5 out of 5 by Lampboo606 from BY FAR THE GREATEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED!!! Ive been a Dragon Quest fan for as long as i can remember but non of the Dragon Quest games by far came close to being as fun as this one, with its great graphics, standard rpg turn based battle system, to its fantastic, one of a kind story line. Its my favorite Dragon Quest, my favorite RPG, and even be my. Mortal world[edit]
Boreas continent[edit]
- Whealbrook: A town in the middle of the northern continent. Pankraz and the hero live in a house here. There is a deep cave in the village. After Coburg invades, it is turned into ruins.
- Roundbeck: A town west of Whealbrook, it contains a large inn. Bianca Whitaker is the daughter of the innkeeper, Whitey.
- Uptaten Towers: A haunted castle to the north of Roundbeck. The Count and Countess had no child, so their royal line came to an end.
- Coburg: A castle town to the northeast of Whealbrook. It is the home of Princes Harry and Prince Wilbur. Papas and the hero are caught up in a conspiracy over the line of succession.
- Fortuna: A town south of Whealbrook. There is a large casino at the center of town, as well as many shops, including the only fortune-tellers in the game which only do business at night: the 'Oracle house' and 'Baba's fortune-telling shop'. Monty is first met in the town, and the hero can purchase aWagon as well.
Zephyrus continent[edit]
- Lodestar Harbour: A port town on the northwestern continent. It has a lighthouse and a large saloon. In the PS2 version onwards there is also a Tombola house.
- Hay: A small village to the south of Lodestar Harbour. The inhabitants are suspicious of strangers; they have recently been plagued by a monster living in a cave to the west that raids their crops at night.
- Zoomingale: A town west of Lodestar Harbour. It is built in a labyrinthine fashion to prevent attacks by monsters. An alchemist named Toilen is researching a forgotten spell.
- Mostroferrato: A town in the southeast part of the Zephyrus continent. A millionaire named Rodrigo Briscoletti lives in a large mansion villa, and there is also a large church here. Rodrigo built a lookout tower to protect the town.
- Stockenbarrel: A hot springs village to the north of Mostroferrato. Whitey and Bianca have emigrated here from Roundbeck after her mother passed away. The village manages the floodgates which block access to the Cataract Caves. The inhabitants are also skilled at making veils.
Notus continent[edit]
- Helmunaptra: A desert castle that is home to the final resting place of the previous game's hero. Queen Cleohatra governs here, and guards the helmet of the Legendary Hero.
- King Dominicus' Domain: The tropical castle of the game's resident Medal King.
- Knick-Knackatory: a museum of of odds and ends from every major location in the game. Introduced in the PS2 version, it is watched over by the spirit of the keeper who perished before the cultural collection could be completed.
Apeliotes continent[edit]
- Knot Welcome Inne: a rest area built around a massive tree that serves as the final inn before making the long trek to Gotha. Run by real down to earth types.
- Battenburg: A village deep in the mountains of the southeastern continent, to the south of Gotha. The castle is visible from a suspension bridge in the town. It is connected to the ground by a network of caves, with the southern cave near the Knot-Welcome Inne and the northern cave near Granvania. In the PS2 version onwards it is covered with snow.
- Gotha: A castle in a forest on the southeastern continent. Its architecture is similar to that of Neuschwanstein Castle. It is the home of Pankraz and the hero. A whole town is safely nestled inside the castle. The Riteof Passage is to the northwest.
Thracias continent[edit]
- Lofty Peak: Madalena's hometown, a village in a basin on the northeastern continent. It is governed by four elders. In the SFC version it is an elaborate three-dimensional structure elevated on columns; in the PS2 version onwards it is a mountain with buildings peppered around it. They have traditionally guarded the gate to the Nadiria, and kept the secret of how to open it, but in recent times that skill has been lost.
- Zenithia: The traditional home of the Zenith Dragon, as seen in the fourth game. But one of the Orbs which powered it was lost, so it fell from the sky, landing in a lake to the south of Lofty Peak. If the Orb were replaced, it could fly once more.
Azimuthias continent[edit]
- Stairway to Zenithia: A tower on the central continent. It is much the same as in Dragon Quest IV, but is dilapidated and has lost the top floors.
- Faerie Palace: North of the stairway to Zenithia, hidden beyond a fog-shrouded lake, is the castle of the fairy queen. The second floor is decorated with a mysterious picture that will greatly aid in the restoration of Zenithia.
- Crocodilopolis: A large temple at the top of mount Azimuth, in the north of the central continent. It is dedicated to the Order of Zugzwang. The founder of the Order, King Korol, lives in the labyrinth underneath it. It can only be reached with the aid of the Zenith Dragon.
Faerie World[edit]
This plane is smaller than the mortal world. It is visited in the first and second generations; it is in winter in the first era, and spring in the second. In the second era of the SFC version, only the village is accessible; but the remakes allow the player to leave and explore the surrounding fields.
- Faerie Lea: The only village in the Faerie World. Humans, faeries, dwarfs, and monsters all live here together. It is ruled by Treacle, who manages the passage of season in the mortal world.
Nadiria[edit]
The evil world which is the home of the Great Demonlord. There is no distinction between day and night here; it is always an eerie twilight of purple radiance.
- Precaria: The only town in Nadiria. It is inhabited by monsters who have been turned into humans by Madalena. It has a different layout and appearance in the SFC and remake versions, with the latter taking on a flora appearance through the surrounding rock formations.
- Mt. Zugzwang: Home of the Great Demonlord Nimzo. It is the final dungeon of the game, and is considerably long than any labyrinth explore thus far.
- Mysterious cave: A cave hidden to the south of Mt. Zugzwang that opens to the player after the completion of the main game. It is inhabited by the strongest monsters, and filled with complex traps, including an infinite loop. Estark sleeps in the deepest part of the cave.

Q: Who do I marry, Bianca or Flora?
A: It really depends on what type of characters you want in your party. Bianca is a better fighter but Flora is a better magic user. So it's up to you if you'd rather have a fighter or a magician... or if you want your kids to have yellow or purple hair.
Q: Why can't I use the Celestial Sword?
A: Because only the Legendary Hero can use the Celestial Sword and you're not the Legendary Hero this time around.
Q: How do I get monsters to join my party?
A: Monsters will sometimes join your party after you defeat them. It may take a few battles to convince some of the tougher monsters to join you. You can also capture two of the same monster but it's much more difficult.
